Matter sensors for Apple Home

Apple's Matter support page names motion, ambient light, contact, temperature and humidity sensors, but it does not list water leak sensors, so a leak alert deserves a real test in the Home app before it guards a washing machine. Most sensors on this list use Thread. An iPhone can pair them, but automations and notifications need an always-on Apple home hub with Thread. Sensitivity, history and calibration controls often stay in the maker's app, as they do for Eve Motion.
