Matter sensors for Alexa

Amazon's table of Matter device categories gives contact, motion, temperature and humidity sensors a matching Alexa capability but lists none for water leak detectors or light sensors. Until Amazon documents that path, treat a leak sensor's Alexa alert as unproven and favor a kit with its own audible alarm, such as ThirdReality KM1. Thread sensors need a Thread border router to join, such as an Echo or eero from Amazon's border router list; an Echo Pop is not on it. Tapo models and Aqara FP1E connect through their own brand hub instead, and presence zones and sensitivity are set in the Aqara or Shelly app.
