Eltako FSR100-IPM (30064027)

Buy the bridge, not the plug

FSR100-IPM is a specialist purchase disguised as a smart plug. Its checked German price is €96.63 before delivery, while the in-stock Tapo P110M is €12.90 and includes an energy meter. If the job is to switch a lamp or measure an appliance, Eltako is difficult to justify.

The calculation changes in a home that already uses EnOcean. FSR100-IPM combines a controllable socket with an EnOcean radio and a Matter bridge. Compatible battery-free wall controls and sensors can be learned by the plug and forwarded into a Matter ecosystem without a separate Eltako gateway. That can be worth more than the socket itself, especially when replacing or extending building controls without opening walls.

A large, lighting-focused adapter

This is not a compact general-purpose plug. Eltako specifies a 100 x 55 x 45 mm body before counting the plug, compared with 72 x 51 x 40 mm for P110M. Furniture clearance and the neighboring socket deserve attention before buying.

The German 2026 catalog rates the switching contact at 10 A/250 V AC, with separate limits of 600 W for LED lighting and 2000 W for incandescent or halogen lamps. Some Finnish product copy says 16 A for the same model and GTIN. Matterhome has not resolved that conflict, so this review uses the lower 10 A figure and would not choose it for a demanding appliance. The plug also consumes a stated 0.8 W in standby and does not advertise power or energy measurement.

Matter removes one box, not every requirement

The exact article 30064027 is certified as a Matter 1.4 aggregator on Wi-Fi with firmware 2.5.0. It needs a compatible Matter controller but no Thread border router. Eltako names Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant for its bridge platform, while the optional Eltako Connect app handles configuration. Those names establish vendor-stated support, not identical bridged controls in every app.

Eltako also exposes a REST API, but calls it a development version that continues to change. Treat that as an experimenter's extra rather than the reason to standardize an installation around this plug.

For an existing EnOcean home, FSR100-IPM offers an unusually direct path into Matter and may remove a gateway from the plan. Everyone else should start with P110M for inexpensive Wi-Fi switching and metering, or consider Eve Energy Europe when Thread, stored schedules and Eve's account-free app are worth paying for.
