Check the generation before the deal
Nuki Smart Lock Pro (4th generation) is a valid direct Matter-over-Thread lock, but the generation label matters. Smart Lock 3.0 Pro is not the same buyer story.
That makes this page most useful for existing owners, used listings, and discounted inventory. If you are shopping new, compare the 5th-generation Pro first.
Matter is the shared control layer
The 4th-generation Pro can join Matter ecosystems over Thread, so you do not need a Nuki bridge for that path. You still need a Matter controller with Thread border router support, and you still need the Nuki app for setup, calibration, firmware, and accessory details.
As with other Matter locks, test the platform-specific behavior before relying on routines, shared access, or detailed notifications.
When to move on
Skip this model if the price is not meaningfully better than the 5th-generation Pro or if the listing does not make the generation clear. The Matter label is useful, but it does not erase the normal used-lock risks around batteries, fit, and missing accessories.
