Nuki Smart Lock Go

Nuki Smart Lock Go is the budget entry into Nuki's direct Matter-over-Thread lock family. It is attractive only if the door fit is straightforward and you are comfortable leaving some advanced management in Nuki's own app.

The cheaper Nuki Matter lock

Smart Lock Go is the entry point into Nuki's current Matter-over-Thread lineup. It is the model to look at when the door is compatible, the budget is tighter, and the premium reasons for Pro or Ultra do not apply.

That does not make it the simplest smart lock. The setup still depends on door fit, Nuki app installation, and Thread coverage at the entrance.

The setup path

Start in the Nuki app, confirm the lock moves cleanly, then pair it with your Matter ecosystem over Thread. The Matter path does not require a Nuki bridge, but it does require a Matter controller and Thread border router.

Keep Nuki's app in the daily toolkit for firmware, calibration, access details, and any remote-access choices. Matter should be treated as the shared lock-control layer.

When Go is enough

Go is enough when you want basic Nuki lock control in Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, or Home Assistant and the lock does not need to carry every premium feature. If the door needs more hardware work or the household expects richer lock administration, the Pro or Ultra models are safer comparisons.

Best for

  • Buyers who want the lowest-cost current Nuki Matter lock
  • Doors where Nuki's retrofit compatibility check is clean
  • Homes that already have Thread infrastructure near the entrance

Skip if

  • You need built-in premium features from the Pro or Ultra models
  • You want a North American deadbolt product
  • Your door fit is uncertain or requires a cylinder change
