The upgrade is in the colors

SwitchBot RGBICWW Floor Lamp earns its place when you want several colors moving along one slim light bar. A gaming corner, a colorful backdrop or a living room that occasionally changes mood gives those effects a job. If the light will spend every evening on warm white, the cheaper Floor Lamp already does that.

Both models provide a 2700K–6500K white-temperature range and a manufacturer-rated maximum of 1,200 lumens. RGBICWW is not a brightness upgrade over the basic lamp. Its advantage is independently controlled color sections, so a gradient can occupy the bar rather than the whole fixture showing one color.

Easy to relocate, limited as a task light

The lamp is 1.35 m tall with a 20 cm round base. It can tuck beside a sofa without a strip stuck to the wall or furniture, and the included horizontal stands let the light bar move onto a shelf or cabinet. That is a useful kind of flexibility when you rearrange a room.

It is still a fixed ambient fixture. A nearby wall gives the light a surface to illuminate; an adjustable reading lamp directs it to the page. Treat the 1,200-lumen figure as SwitchBot's specification rather than proof this will light an entire room or replace a task lamp. We have not measured its output, color accuracy or dimming quality.

The integrated LEDs also make it a different long-term purchase from a conventional lamp with a replaceable bulb. Buy the form and the gradient effects because you want both, not because an existing fixture has suddenly become useless without Matter.

Good everyday controls, separate effect editing

The supplied wired controller offers a physical way to switch and adjust the light. For phone and voice control, its direct Matter connection uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. A compatible Matter controller is needed in the receiving home platform, but no SwitchBot bridge or Thread border router is required.

Matter exposes power, brightness, RGB color and white temperature. Creating the richer multicolor scenes remains a SwitchBot app feature. That is a reasonable split if Apple Home or another platform runs your everyday evening scene while SwitchBot handles occasional effects. It is less appealing if the main reason you are buying is to edit every color segment from your usual home app.

Worth $12 more only if you use the extra feature

On September 10, 2026, the available US lamp was $89.99, with an advertised $62.99 price using JZJZ30. Eligible standard US orders under $99 add $9.99 delivery: $72.98 for one discounted lamp before tax. These prices concern the US plug version; EU and UK plug variants are separate offers.

At the same check, the basic Floor Lamp cost $50.99 with its code, a $12 saving. At base prices, the gap was only $5. The smaller that difference gets, the easier it is to choose RGBICWW for the option of gradients. A bigger basic-model discount makes more sense for someone who mostly wants warm white.

The RGBICWW Strip Light is the better shape for a hidden five-metre run along furniture, but it brings mounting work and cut-length decisions. Choose this floor lamp when being able to move the entire effect matters. Keep a working basic lamp if moving colors are the only missing feature and you do not expect to use them.
