A corner light you can move
SwitchBot Floor Lamp makes sense beside a sofa or behind a desk where a strip would mean adhesive, measuring and a cable fixed to the furniture. Put down its round base and the lighting can move when the room does. That flexibility is its best feature.
The basic model already provides RGB color and separate warm and cool white LEDs, adjustable from 2700K to 6500K. You do not need the more expensive RGBICWW Floor Lamp just to get white light. Choose this one if your usual setting will be a warm evening glow or one color across the bar.
Slim enough for a corner, less useful as a reading lamp
The fixture stands 1.35 m tall on a 20 cm base. SwitchBot also supplies horizontal stands, so the bar can sit along a shelf or cabinet instead of occupying floor space. That gives it a second use if the original corner stops working with your furniture.
Its fixed shape is better suited to ambient lighting and washing a nearby wall than directing light onto a book. SwitchBot claims up to 1,200 lumens, the same figure as its RGBICWW floor model; that is a manufacturer specification, not a measured room-lighting result. Placement, wall color and the selected mode will affect how useful the light is. An adjustable task lamp remains a better choice when seeing a page clearly is the actual problem.
This is an integrated LED fixture. A conventional lamp with a replaceable bulb offers an easier route to changing the light source later. If you already like the lamp in that corner, changing its bulb may also avoid buying another piece of furniture.
The effect upgrade is optional
The RGBICWW Floor Lamp can display several colors along the bar at once. The basic Floor Lamp cannot produce those segmented gradients. For a gaming backdrop that is a meaningful difference; for a warm white living room, it buys little.
Both include a wired controller. Everyday buttons are useful when someone simply wants the light on without finding the correct app. Matter brings power, brightness, RGB color and white-temperature control to a compatible home platform over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It needs that platform's Matter controller, but no SwitchBot bridge or Thread border router. SwitchBot's app handles its richer scenes and firmware.
Good value at the discount, less clear at full price
On September 10, 2026, the US standalone lamp was available at $84.99, with an advertised $50.99 price using JZJZ40. Eligible standard US orders below $99 add $9.99 delivery, making one discounted lamp $60.98 before tax. US, EU and UK plug versions exist; these dollar prices refer to the US offer.
At the same check, the RGBICWW floor model was $62.99 with its code: a $12 upgrade before the same delivery charge. At base prices the gap is only $5. Buy the basic lamp when the discount is better and moving colors are unimportant. If those prices converge, the RGBICWW model offers more flexibility.
For a hidden run along several metres of furniture, LED Strip Light 3 fits the job better. For an existing floor lamp that already provides the right light, keep it. Matter alone is not a reason to replace a useful fixture.
