The color E26 option
This is the E26 color version of Aqara's LED Bulb T2. It supports Thread for direct Matter pairing and Zigbee for Aqara's hub-based path, but you choose one mode for the setup you want.
For a Matter-first home, Thread is the point. It lets the bulb join major Matter ecosystems without an Aqara hub.
Where it fits
Use this bulb in a lamp or fixture that stays powered. Matter can control color, brightness, and color temperature only when the bulb has power, so a regular wall switch can still make it disappear from the app.
The RGB CCT model is the one to buy when color matters. If the fixture only needs warm-to-cool white, the separate E26 white CCT model is the cleaner fit.
What to check
Test dimming range, color controls, and power recovery in the ecosystem you use every day. Aqara may expose extra effects or settings through its own path, but those should not be assumed in every Matter app.
