Homey released firmware 13.5.1 for Homey Pro and Homey Pro mini on September 28, 2026, adding Matter support for the Chime, MeterIdentification, and SoilMeasurement clusters. The release notes also say the update fixes an issue that could stop some Matter device data from refreshing correctly. Owners can start a manual update from More → Settings → Updates in the Homey mobile app.
Before 13.5.1, Homey's stable controller already advertised Matter 1.5, but its changelog did not list these three clusters. The update now provides a documented path for compatible Matter soil-moisture sensors, chimes, and meter identity information. It does not establish that every device using those labels will expose every reading or action in Homey.
The same version has different release-note detail
Homey's Self-Hosted Server changelog describes version 13.5.1 in more user-facing terms: support for compatible chimes, soil-moisture sensors, and meter identification information, plus a Flow card that can play a sound on a compatible chime. The Pro and Pro mini notes name the clusters but do not explicitly promise that Flow card. Check the controls and Flow cards that appear on the Homey system you actually run instead of assuming both release-note lists are identical.
This release does not show Homey moving beyond its documented Matter 1.5 support. The Connectivity Standards Alliance introduced soil sensors in Matter 1.5, and Homey's current Pro page still lists Matter 1.5. Homey also does not say that 13.5.1 exposes the optional chime volume and mute controls described in Matter 1.6.1.
Homey has not published an exact model list for the new support. If a compatible device is already in the home, update the controller before removing or re-pairing it, then check whether its reading or action appears and works in a noncritical Flow. For a new purchase, ask the device maker to name the Matter version and exposed clusters for the exact model. Matter support at both ends is necessary, but a pair of compatible labels still does not prove the complete control surface.
