SwitchBot's store listed both models at $399.99 on September 25, 2026. The Pro keeps the same 248 mm-wide robot and 240 × 180 × 250 mm station, but raises the advertised peak suction from 6,000 Pa to 12,000 Pa and adds an anti-tangle design to both the main and side brushes. Those figures do not prove that it cleans twice as well, and we have not measured its pickup or hair resistance. They do make the older model poor value at equal prices. Choose K11+ only if a real discount returns; at current direct pricing, K11+ Pro is the sensible compact model. The white and black US variants were both available from SwitchBot when checked. The $399.99 price includes the robot and self-emptying station before tax. European presale dates differ, so this review covers the shipping US product rather than treating the rollout as globally identical. ## Its size remains the best reason to choose it The robot is 248 mm across and 92 mm tall. That narrow body can reach spaces that defeat a typical 350 mm robot, while the station occupies a modest 240 × 180 mm patch of floor. For a small apartment or a room with awkward furniture gaps, that physical fit can matter more than another automated dock feature. Measure the complete route rather than only the product. The robot still needs room to approach its station, enough overhead clearance for the raised LiDAR turret, and thresholds it can cross. Its compact onboard bin makes the auto-empty station especially useful. SwitchBot fits a four-liter dust bag and advertises up to 90 days between changes. Treat that as a best-case interval, not a schedule. Pets, carpet and frequent runs can fill the bag sooner, while brushes, filters, sensors and charging contacts still need manual care. ## Better vacuum hardware, but basic wet cleaning The headline changes focus on dry pickup. SwitchBot rates peak suction at 12,000 Pa, says the battery lasts 10 percent longer than the K11+, and documents more than 150 minutes in quiet mode or more than 60 minutes in max mode under its laboratory conditions. A high-precision edge sensor is intended to keep the robot close to walls, while app maps, room cleaning and virtual walls help turn that into a repeatable routine. Floor preparation still matters. Cables, socks and small objects can interrupt an otherwise useful scheduled run, and a product page is not evidence that the robot will identify every hazard. We have not tested navigation, carpet pickup, noise or long-term brush performance. Wet cleaning is the larger compromise. SwitchBot's support instructions say that the mop bracket must be fitted manually; installing it disables vacuum mode, and removing it restores vacuuming. This is a light wipe attachment rather than an active mop with automatic lifting, washing or water management. If dried kitchen marks are the problem you most want a robot to solve, buy a larger model designed around mopping. ## Matter is useful for starts, not map management K11+ Pro is certified as a Matter 1.4 robot vacuum over Wi-Fi, so it does not need a SwitchBot hub or Thread border router. SwitchBot documents Apple Home setup through the SwitchBot app's Matter Setup screen and says the app and current firmware are required. The setup screen is still labelled beta. That distinction matters because shared smart-home control is not a replacement for the manufacturer's app. Keep SwitchBot's app for maps, no-go zones, room choices and detailed cleaning preferences. Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa are documented for the exact product family, but the available commands differ by platform. SwitchBot also names Home Assistant on the product page, yet Home Assistant's current SwitchBot Bluetooth and Matter partner pages list K11+ rather than K11+ Pro. Treat Pro support there as limited until the exact model appears in Home Assistant's own documentation. SmartThings can link to SwitchBot and is a named Matter controller in SwitchBot's general guidance, but the manufacturer has not published an exact K11+ Pro feature matrix for it either. ## Buy it for compact vacuuming, not for the Pro badge The [older K11+](/devices/switchbot-k11-plus) remains a real substitute because its body, station and basic cleaning job are so similar. It needs to cost meaningfully less to win now. An owner whose K11+ already cleans reliably should keep it; doubling a rated suction number is not proof that a replacement will halve the work. For a new purchase, K11+ Pro is the stronger $399.99 choice when the small body and compact self-emptying station solve a space problem. It is not the right shortcut to serious mopping, richer obstacle recognition or a fully documented Home Assistant setup. Buy the form factor and dry-cleaning improvements, not the assumption that every feature moves into Matter.
