A light strip is usually hidden. Philips Hue Liane 360° asks to be seen, and charges accordingly. Its thick silicone rope emits white or colored light around its full circumference, so it can trace a wall, follow a ceiling line, or hang vertically as part of the room rather than disappear behind furniture. The family launched on September 3, 2026, in North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

## Two current Matter routes

Philips Hue lists Matter functionality for Liane through either a Hue Bridge or a third-party hub with a Thread border router. For direct setup, use the Matter code supplied with the exact kit and pair it through a Thread-capable Matter controller. A Hue Bridge is not required for that route.

The Bridge route is different. Liane stays on Hue's Zigbee network, while the Bridge shares supported light controls with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, or another Matter ecosystem. ## Choose the physical route before the ecosystem
