## Ecosystem Support

- Apple Home: Supported
- Google Home: Supported
- Alexa: Supported
- SmartThings: Supported
- Home Assistant: Supported

## Best For

- E26 lamps that need color plus tunable white control
- Buyers who want Aqara lighting without an Aqara hub
- Existing Thread homes that need individual bulbs, not a bridge

## Skip If

- You only need tunable white and want the cheaper white CCT model
- Your wall switch regularly cuts power to the bulb
- You need Aqara-only effects inside every Matter ecosystem

## Setup Notes

- Choose Thread mode if you want direct Matter control in Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, or Home Assistant.
- Use Zigbee mode only if Aqara Home features matter more than direct Matter pairing.
- Test color temperature, color, dimming range, and power recovery behavior in your main app.

## Known Limitations

- Platform color controls and adaptive lighting features differ by ecosystem.
- Aqara-specific scenes, firmware behavior, and lighting effects may require the Aqara app path.
- Existing wall switches can cut power to the bulb and make it unavailable.

## Pros

- Direct Matter-over-Thread E26 color bulb
- Supports color and tunable white output
- Optional Zigbee mode for Aqara Home features
- No Aqara hub is required in Thread mode

## Cons

- Requires a Thread border router for direct Matter
- Cannot use Thread and Zigbee modes at the same time
- Aqara effects and advanced lighting controls may not appear in every Matter app

## The color E26 option

This is the E26 color version of Aqara's LED Bulb T2. It supports Thread for direct Matter pairing and Zigbee for Aqara's hub-based path, but you choose one mode for the setup you want.

For a Matter-first home, Thread is the point. It lets the bulb join major Matter ecosystems without an Aqara hub.

## Where it fits

Use this bulb in a lamp or fixture that stays powered. Matter can control color, brightness, and color temperature only when the bulb has power, so a regular wall switch can still make it disappear from the app.

The RGB CCT model is the one to buy when color matters. If the fixture only needs warm-to-cool white, the separate E26 white CCT model is the cleaner fit.

## What to check

Test dimming range, color controls, and power recovery in the ecosystem you use every day. Aqara may expose extra effects or settings through its own path, but those should not be assumed in every Matter app.
